Writing for social media usually falls somewhere between super formal writing and the way your mom texts you. 

Here's what you'll discover:

  • You don't need to write the letter "U" instead of just typing "YOU." At the same time there isn't a need to be super formal as if you're writing an essay. 
  • Social copy is still part of your brand. Think of it as something you would put on a billboard every time you post. That's how you should write. 
  • The more you post the more you will understand and get comfortable with your brand voice.
