5. How Will A Brand Help Me Achieve My Goals?

Remember this: your brand is your opportunity to have control over your first impression you give. You’ve got that power. Don’t waste it or disappoint.

Here's what you'll discover:

  • Your online presence is now part of that first impression that people make. It might be based on the in-person interaction they have, if they’re so fortunate to interact with you in real life, but chances are, it’s happening more online than it is off. Embrace it, because it’s not changing any time soon.
  • Be prepared. They’re going to judge you on how your display photo looks. They’re going to judge you on the number of followers you have. If you’re clear on your goals—clear on where you’re wanting to go with all of this, then you’re more likely to achieve them and give a strong first impression.
  • Stay updated online. You wouldn’t go to a job interview in sweatpants. Therefore, your profile photo shouldn’t be from 1995.

What do you think your strongest platform is?
